“This mountain is so formed that it is always wearisome when one begins the ascent, but becomes easier the higher one climbs.”

― Dante Alighieri, Purgatorio

Some few readers might appreciate the significance of the allusion.  Either way, it's a nice Buddhist cherry-picked quote, no?

Much is brewing here, double, double, toil and trouble... but no spoilers - the future is still playing hard-to-get.

A couple of announcements, first that on September 21st there is a world day of meditation, as mentioned earlier.  Put it on your calendar, here's the link for more information:

Second, on September 15th, there will be an event for Peace Week at the Peace Pagoda near the St. Norbert's Art Centre in Winnipeg.  I have been invited to lead a chant of metta and short meditation.  Event starts at 6 PM, here's a link with the full (tentative) schedule:

Otherwise, life goes on.  No new videos lately, I know... many projects yet unfinished, but many of them will be facilitated by a more stable living situation.  Soon, one hopes :)

I'm just listening to a neat documentary on solitary confinement by one of my closest high school friends, Brett Story, on CBC.  Check it out:

"You don't live very long living on hate.  It chews you up, it burns you out.  It puts you in situations where many men commit suicide in solitary... and women for that matter as well."

-- Gregory McMaster, prison inmate

Man, those are just the sort of people who could use meditation practice, no?

Blessings, all.
