Great White North

Finally left Dubai after five hours sitting on the runway. First, we were 40th in a takeoff queue due to fog the night before, then someone got sick on the plane and had to be removed, then someone else got sick on the plane and had to be removed. Ended up a total of six hours late to Toronto, only to find no father.

Got a ride to the Newmarket Hospital where he's vacationing... seems he had a car accident coming to pick me up. He's in good condition, nothing broken. Spent a few hours talking last night, stayed in a room with him and am planning to stay with him as long as the hospitalers let me.

On a positive note, I had a nice breakfast in Dubai after all, and Cria came to the hospital to feed me today so I'm still alive. That and it's nice to be back in Canada... feels kind of homeish.

So, what's up? Maybe I'm going to Winnipeg for a while, after I've outstayed my welcome with family. There's a nice group with a nice house in a nice part of the city there, and they are looking for a nice monk. The sooner I can get settled down, the sooner I can get back to work, so that sounds like a plan, at least until our forest monastery manifests itself (keep breathing).

For now, a chance to be with and look after my father, which is enough happiness for me.

Peace.

Welcome back home. Hope you will soon find a regular dwelling place where you can begin the work of establishing a monastery. Looking forward to more of your teachings.
