I don't know, it would be nice to think there was no copyright violation in reformatting and giving away the Visuddhimagga for free. But in the end, it comes down to what the Buddha said:

166. attadatthaṃ paratthena, bahunāpi na hāpaye.
attadatthamabhiññāya, sadatthapasuto siyā.

166. Let one not neglect one's own welfare for the sake of another, however great.
Clearly understanding one's own welfare, let one be intent upon the good.

Today I have been called "underhanded", "cunning" and finally "selfish". So, now time to be selfish and take down the books, so as to be left alone again.

They're down. Problem solved. If you want them, ask Bhante Nyanatusita:

  1. I can't thank you enough :) My wife noticed such a a change in me that she is now accepting the dharmma :D

Thanks for posting those books, I already downloaded them & Arn't they in the public domain? Your the best! :)

  2. A pure intention to distribute the Dhamma. And now a pure intention to take it down. Skillful and skillful.

  3. Glad to hear that it is all settled now.

    Well at the end .....

    All formations are impermanent!
