Over and Again

well, there's another retreat under my monk's belt. Meaningless, really (the counting, not the practice), as it was more of a start to what looks to be a fruitful rains residence ahead. Instead of 12-14 hours a day of meditation, back down to a mere 8 to make room for about 4 or 5 hours of study. Who could ask for anything more? :D

Have a happy rainy season everyone :)

  1. It's good to hear that the place works well for you, Bhante!

If you have some leftover rain, we can always accomodate some, just send them over Hungary :D

    Dear Venerable Sir,
thank you for sharing your life as a monk in Thailand with the online community! Today I would like to ask if you could describe how your day is scheduled during the retreat phase.
A further question: how do you keep yourself in shape as monk? Are monks allowed to do Yoga? (If yes, how can you do the asanas with wearing a skirt?). Did the Buddha do any exercise?
Thank you for your attention and hope you continue to be a blessing to the internet community.
