Learning Pali, Thai Style

I've come full circle, and found myself in the monastic equivalent to kindergarden, studying pali with venerable recluses who only come up to my belly-button in height, but seem to tower over me in their ability to memorize and recite back whatever they've crammed into their little heads that day.

Overall, a humbling experience; fortunately, I'm not alone - one of my good friends, an old meditation teacher from the monastery on the other side of the rice field, is taking the course with me. Humbling indeed -)
