Not posting here lately has been more or less due to not much happening here lately. Yesterday I was invited to take part in Winnipeg's Peace Week at the Trappist Monastery Ruins in St. Norbert's, which boasts the remarkable presence of a Burmese Buddhist pagoda:
This coming Saturday is the birthday of my teacher, Ajaan Tong Sirimangalo. It also happens to be the date of a global meditation mob, so it seemed fitting to take the time to meditate together on that day. And what better place than the peace pagoda? So, we'll be making our way to the monastery ruins in St. Norbert's this Saturday at 1 PM, staying until maybe 4 PM. Just bring a mat and meditate under the trees by the river; lots of space, I'm thinking we don't need to synchronize our practices, just do your own thing.
Apart from this, it looks like I'll be staying in Winnipeg as expected, though the forest monastery thing seems to have been put on the back burner for the time being. All good things take time and patience.
I've started a new project, as though I didn't have enough of them unfinished... but this one is light and easy; I'm just editing the Lowada Sangarawa and posting it on Google and Facebook. Check out my pages there for updates.
Peace to all :)
