Yep, it's that time again, to be scuttled through xray scanners, have my possessions examined by strange and suspicious Americans (alms bowl + video camera = bomb), walk as fast as humanly possible from one airplane to another airplane, spend another 24 hour stint without food (the sun chases us, so it's dawn as we near Bangkok), and yes, fly faster than a speeding bullet, leap tall buildings in a single bound, etc., etc.
Plane travel is a combination of peaceful and insane, in about equal portions. I have a forty minute layover in Chicago, thanks to not looking closely at my itinerary. If I miss my connection, look for me asking directions to Chinatown in the windy city Tuesday morning. Otherwise, i'll be in LAX tomorrow evening until 11:30 PM, fly to Bangkok, spend the day in Bangkok (coincides nicely with the uposatha, should find a place for that), then midnight flight to Sri Lanka. Arrive at cave to meet dawn. Me, cave monk.
