New Year Retreat

Heading back to Panipitiya for a bit; it's gotten hectic here what with the new year and cetera. Seems like a good time to take a meditation break, so I'm taking it. No computer for the next ten days, I think, though tomorrow I should be on Skype with my family if all goes as planned.

I happened to find the place I'm going to on Google Earth, more by luck than anything. Here's what it would look like if you were floating in orbit around the Earth and had a pair of really powerful binoculars:

And here's the kmz if you are a Google Earth user:

I don't know the name of the place, but it's associated with Lankarama in La Puente, CA, which is how I get to stay there, and in the head monk's kuti to boot (the white square at the bottom of the monastery). Nice quiet place for a retreat. And since the head monk is actually living in La Puente, CA, the other monks there can't cause problems for me. I think. Sometimes it's best to just not leave one's room.
