Before the Day

Here's a crore or so of pictures showing what goes on before the most important day of the year... perhaps the most important day in the history of the meditation center at Chom Tong. Five days before the big-big day but, starting tomorrow, there will be four lesser-big days. This is what it looks like when meditators organise a party... not so much meditation yet, but there's still hope, according to the schedule:

Sunday, Sept. 17th

Evening: Three traditional dhamma talks in Northern Thai

Tuesday, Sept. 19th

Morning: 89 Vipassana Teachers chant blessings for Ajaan

Wednesday, Sept. 20th

Morning: Ajaan gives almsfood to 121 monks and novices
